SERVICE LEARNING AT THE QUEENS BOTANICAL GARDEN

SERVICE LEARNING OPPORTUNITY AT THE QUEENS    BOTANICAL GARDEN

Last Saturday we had another enthusiastic PDPI excursion to Queens Botanical Garden. We were guided by our coordinator Mr. David Parker. The Queens Botanical Garden is a big area filled with many trees and thousands of beautiful and colorful plants. Our goal was to work there as volunteers in order to clean a small part of that important source of oxygen.
It was my first time in this kind of grateful task and in spite of getting so tired at the end of our mission, I felt so proud about myself and my colleagues as in Brazil most of us are not accustomed to be engaged in such relevant work.
Certainly It was an unforgettable day in our lives as PDPI students.
