INDEPENDENT EXCURSION TO THE 9/11 MEMORIAL
In july 15, 2013 I had the opportunity to visit the 9/11 Memorial at the World Trade Center.It was built as a fair tribute to remind the giant loss suffered by american people on 9/11, on a tuesday morning,when some terrorists from the islamist extremist group al Qaeda hijacked four airplanes,deliberately crashing two into the twin towers in New York City and a third into the Pentagon in Arlington,Virginia. Passengers on the fourth plane,launched a counter-offensive, and the plane crashed into an empty field in western Pennsylvania.
So, this Memorial honors the 2,983 men,women and children who perished in the horrific terrorists attacks of september 11,2001. In fact this place is sad and sacred as well and recognize the endurance of those who survived and the courage of those who risked their lives to save others.
It's great that you were able to visit the 9/11 memorial. I have not had the opportunity to visit it yet.
