WEEBLY WEBSITE PRESENTATION
Today, during the final Culminating Project Workshop I gladly presented my weebly website and lessons plans to my class and to Professors David Parker and Christina Quartararo.
The topic I have chosen to present was about the famous monument called Empire State Building, considered am icon in the United States.
I have learned about my website by following the instructions taught by professor David Parker during his classes along these six weeks.
Surely it is an important and useful source of knowledge and I intend to share with my fellow teachers and use it as a tool to improve my english classes and so my students skills when I come back to Brazil.
THIRD INDEPENDENT EXCURSION TO STATUE OF LIBERTY
On july 27,2013 I visited the Statue of Liberty - one of the most famous monument all over the world that can be reached by a pleasant trip y ferry and is located in the Liberty Island.
It was a marvelous tour and I could notice that everything is giant, concerning that monument, such as: height,151 ft, 1 in, height from ground to torch 305 ft, 1 in and thickness of copper shell 3/32 in.
There were thousand of people there to know and take pictures from the statue and certainly the colossal monument overwhelmed those who saw it. It was an amazing excursion as the statue produce an emotion in the breast of the spectator, not because its volume, but because its size is in keeping with the idea that it interprets ,and with the place which it ought to occupy.New York Pubic Library
